The Apprentice is a drama film about a young man, Adam, who gets taken under the wing of Cheng, a prison officer. As Adam immerses himself in the job, he learns Cheng is part of a dark and perilous aspect of the prison system. As Adam wrestles with his relationship with his mother, he also faces moral dilemmas throughout the film, challenge himself and whether or not to emulate his mentor.
