What began as enjoyable and actually quite good gradually devolved into something fairly conventional, and finally somewhat below mediocre. “Luck” is ultimately a picture that refuses to be creative and hence falls into weak and more well-known tropes.
The film had a good start. A picture that dared to approach mature topics and, in many respects, felt more intended for adult audiences. I was actually amazed, and the picture appeared to be something truly one-of-a-kind.
